Materials
Yarn: Any worsted weight (4) for the can cozy and bulky fleece (5) yarn for the fluffy top.
I used Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarn, Solid. This yarn is medium (4) weight and 100% acrylic. The size is 4.5 oz / 127.5 g. A skein is 285 yd./260m and you only need less than a quarter skein in total.
I used the color “Cherryโ for the main part of the can cozy; the color “Black” for the belt; and the color “Sunny Day” for the belt buckle.
For the fluffy top of the can cozy, I used Bernat Pipsqueak. This yarn is bulky (5) weight. The size is 3.50 oz. / 100 g. A skein is 101 yd / 92 m. You only need a few yards. The exact color is called “Whitey White.”

Round 12: Still with black yarn, sc in each st around (29 sc). sl st into 1st sc to join.

With fluffy white yarn, do not ch. sc in each st around (29 sc). sl st in 1st sc to join.
Fasten off and weave in all loose ends.

Belt Buckle
With golden yellow colored yarn, ch 16.

1st Rectangle Side (short): In 2nd ch from hook, sc into back ridge loop. In next ch, sc into back ridge loop. In next ch, sc x 3 into same back ridge loop.
2nd Rectangle Side (long): sc into next 4 back ridge loops. In next ch, sc x 3 into same back ridge loop.
3rd Rectangle Side (short): sc into next 2 back ridge loops. In next ch, sc x 3 into same back ridge loop.
4th Rectangle Side (long): sc into next 4 back ridge loops. sl st into 1st sc to join.

Fasten off leaving a 12โณ tail. Weave in the first end to belt buckle. Using a yarn needle, attach belt buckle to can cozy on the front center of can cozy with the rows of black in the middle.
And that’s it! Your Christmas Can Cozy is ready to be used or wrapped up…Cheers!
