Crochet Heart Dishcloth

This easy crochet heart pattern shows you step by step how to crochet a heart dishcloth. Use this free pattern to make a functional heart-shaped dishcloth or a lovely Valentine’s Day decoration.

Free crochet heart pattern

This classic crochet heart pattern works up really quickly – you can make it in about 1 hour. Use any colors and make lots of crochet hearts to give as gifts or sell at craft shows!

To crochet this simple heart pattern, you can use any size 4 yarn. I recommend using 100% cotton, especially if you are using this crochet heart pattern to make a dishcloth.

Crochet heart pattern

You can make this heart as a decorative item (or for lots of other purposes) and it works really well as a crochet heart dishcloth pattern!

The pattern alternates between single crochet and double crochet stitches, which creates a lovely texture – ideal for washing dishes.

Plus, the heart border alternates between single crochet and triple crochet stitches, adding even more texture if your pots and pans are being extra stubborn.

The pattern creates a durable, textured dishcloth (if you are using it as a heart-shaped dishcloth) that is the average size of a dishcloth. Plus it folds perfectly over the top of your sink’s faucet.

  • This large crochet heart pattern is reversible and looks great on either side.
  • It’s very fast and fun to make.
  • The pattern creates a stunning, textured crochet heart that you will be proud to give as a gift or show off in your own home.
  • You can use any size 4 (I recommend cotton) yarn. You’ll only need approx. 72 yards, making it great for scrap-busting.
  • It makes a wonderful Valentine’s Day crochet project or to give as a gift year-round.
